How lucky having your son around while going to college. It's not to bad, at least my son didn't go out of state. Between phone and email we can stay in touch until he comes home to visit next weekend. It's just weird having him gone.

My new policy, from this safe distance, is to IGNORE hurricanes (that should do the trick).

Ironically, a few years back I was set to stay in a house called "Safe At Home"... but Ivan took it out a month before I got there. How RUDE (as well as ironic). In fact... Katrina took out the place I was going to stay the next time... and back in 98 Georges messed up fall plans. Hmmm... maybe I'm the weak link?
